Batomon Showdown — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Batomon Showdown ("the game", "we", "us") collects, why, and how it is handled. It applies to the game on all platforms, including the iOS App Store version.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what is needed to run your account, save your progress, and operate online matchmaking and leaderboards. Specifically:

• Account identifier. When you sign in, we store a unique account ID derived from your chosen sign-in method — Sign in with Apple, Google, or Steam (e.g. apple:<id>). For Sign in with Apple this is the Apple-issued subject identifier; we never receive your Apple password. This identifier is what ties your saves, progress, and ranking to you.
• Email address. If you sign in with Google, we may store the email address associated with that account to identify it and contact you about it. (Sign in with Apple does not require us to store your email — our server only uses Apple's anonymous account identifier; if you use Apple's "Hide My Email" relay, we honor it.)
• Name. Sign in with Apple may offer your name the first time you authorize the app, but the app does not store it.
• Display name. A name shown to other players on leaderboards and in matches.
• Gameplay data. Your saved runs, team composition, in-game currency and progress, and match results, so you can resume and so battles can be simulated against other players' saved teams.
• Matchmaking / ranking data. A skill rating (MMR) used to match you with comparable opponents and to populate leaderboards.

2. What we do NOT collect

• We do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking, and we do not use Apple's App Tracking Transparency tracking.
• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not collect your contacts, photos, precise location, or browsing history.

3. How we use your information

To create and authenticate your account, save and sync your game progress, run online matchmaking and leaderboards, prevent cheating and abuse, and provide support.

4. How information is stored and shared

Your account and game data are stored on our game server (operated via PocketBase / Firebase backends). We do not share your personal information with third parties except:

• the sign-in provider you chose (Apple, Google, or Steam), to authenticate you;
• infrastructure providers that host our server, solely to operate the service;
• where required by law.

Limited information is, by design, visible to other players: your display name and ranking on leaderboards, and your saved team may be used as an AI opponent in others' battles.

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep your account data while your account is active. You may request that we delete your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing us at the address below. We will delete it within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Children

The game is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
